Songs that Will Get You a Ticket (T13)

Now that we’re into decent roll-down-the-windows weather while driving, I’ve compiled a list, in no particular order, of songs you should NOT have playing on your stereo while driving, or you may feel your right foot getting heavier and heavier, causing you to speed and risk getting a ticket. Not that I’m speaking from experience.

- 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago
- Like a Stone by Audioslave (when they modulate up towards the end? whoa! got chills just thinking about Chris Cornell’s voice…he makes my knees quiver!)
- Play that Funky Music by Wild Cherry
- Paralyzer by Finger Eleven
- This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race by Fall Out Boy
- California Love by Tupac
- Hella Good by No Doubt
- Canned Heat by Jamiroquai
- Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine
- Higher Ground by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Vasoline by the Stone Temple Pilots
- Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5 (and Adam Levine makes it harder for me to breathe…whoo! the HOTness! And uh, actually Justin used to look a lot like this when he was younger…that might explain the attraction)

This is a blog where I will share my adventures and mundane tasks as a work-out-of-home-mom. I now have 2 kids and my wonderful husband, so the juggling has gotten a little bit more tricky (man-on-man defense). We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats (we used to have 4) so as you can imagine, our household is pretty busy. Since I never feel like I'm being listened to, I figured I'll just start talking at the general Internet community and see what happens.
I’m very old, apparently, because I’ve never even heard of half these people/bands. I’m guessing aside from Chicago they aren’t on XM 8 All 80s all the time?
Great, I’m an old woman. I won’t even reveal how many of those I don’t know.
I know most of those songs. I’ve got a few fast driving songs of my own…I need to do a list like this!

Paralyzer totally gets me going–especially when running. I’m an Olympian on some of these songs . . .
Whew! I was starting to think that I had very odd taste in music that no one knew about! (AFF and Karen, y’all aren’t that old…just listen you might recognize a few, even if they’re ones you quickly turn off the radio…ha ha).
Rockin set you’ve put together!!!! I love it when people appreciate more than one kind of music. Broadens the horizons, I say. *And gives some pleasant mental images!
