I am excited to announce that I will be hosting a fundraiser for the next 30 days to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
As many of you know, my insurance didn’t really pay for Cooper’s ear tube surgery. Sure, they negotiated a rate for me to pay, but they don’t actually cover ear tube surgery since it falls into that fun little “Outpatient Procedure” loophole. The amount we were left to pay has been a bone of contention for me. But it is not.even.comparable to these children who have been seriously and chronically ill for long periods of time, undergoing surgeries and other procedures. At some point even the best-insured children’s coverage hits a limit. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital researches and treats dozens upon dozens of childhood cancers and other diseases, and children accepted for treatment at St. Jude’s are done so without regard for their family’s ability to pay.
My goal is to keep it that way…to make sure they can afford to keep treating these children, and coming up with newer and better drugs and therapies. Please help me do that.
Starting tonight, through Monday, December 15th, I will be selling Cookie Lee Jewelry and Arbonne Skin Care products, with 100% of the proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can do this by going to both the sites and order it through me, or in the case of the Arbonne products, you also have the choice of ordering it directly through the site. And for those of you who are local, I will be hosting a live jewelry fundraiser the weekend of December 13th and 14th. I’ll have the exact date and time ironed out in a few days.

Jewelry and Skin Care! I’ll be sure to check them out – I have sisters and last minute Christmas shopping to do! đ What a great fundraiser!
Bless your heart for doing this! St. Jude’s is amazing and I hope sincerely that neither you, nor I, nor anyone else we know ever has to use their services. I am off to follow those links!
So sorry. I’ll go check them out.
And by the way, I got here by way of your spot-on comment on the Motrin kerfuffle.
Oooh, I may have to look into that skin care crap. đ I LOVED the sample you sent me and my face has been crying out for help lately. Plus the handcream – OH THE HANDCREAM!!! – that I’ve been hoarding from the family for fear they’ll squander it needlessly. I may have to have more of that. For my stocking, you understand.
It’s all for a worthy cause.
What a great time of year to do this! I happen to need to buy presents for people, and maybe a stocking stuffer for myself. I’m not yet sure if I can go to the in-person fundraiser (we have a big release that weekend plus the company holiday party), but I will try. At the very least, I will buy some things from those sites.
Thanks for doing this. It’s really a wonderful cause.
