Okay, not even a week into my 31 for 21 and I miss a post. But I have an excuse…it was Justin’s birthday yesterday!!!
And today was Columbus Day…wee! Justin was off for the holiday and I took the day off and we sent the kids to daycare. He studied in the morning and I took one of the dogs to the vet, then we saw a movie. In the theater. I can’t tell you the last time we went to a movie on our own…well, actually I can. It was January 2006, I had bronchitis, my mom was visiting, and we saw “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”. Gavin was 19 months old. Prior to that, we hadn’t seen a movie in the theaters since May of 2004 when I was pregnant (we saw “Troy”, by the way). So you can imagine how excited we were to see a movie that wasn’t animated.
After the movie we picked up the kids. When we got ourselves loaded in the truck, Gavin asked where his “Baby Frog” was. I reminded him that Baby Frog was in my car, where he left it this morning when I dropped him and Cooper off. He then replied, saying, “what are you talking about, Mommy?” I laughed my head off! If he’s this funny at age 3, how much funnier will he be at 4 or 5 or 20? I can’t wait to find out.

It totally cracks me up to hear grown up phrases coming out of my children’s mouths.
We went to see “Superbad” in the theater recently. That was the first movie I saw in an actual theater since Curious George. I live a sad, sad little life. 🙂
I’m waiting for a good movie to come out so we can go see a movie in the theater too! Good for you guys!!!
Gavin is hilarious!
