They Have No Idea…

I found this in my inbox:

not sure what is better…that the winery is 15 minutes away or that I can get my very own souvenir wine glass…

I want to thank all of you who commented below. It was a nice combination of coddeling and tough-love. Sometimes a mom just gets hit with several things in a row; add in a cup of sleep deprivation, and off the handle she flies! I truly appreciate the support and the love and the “quit being a baby” and letting me vent without ignoring me. I do feel a lot better.

On another good note, we got Cooper’s blood results and all is good, save for one test that indicates that there’s some inflamation going on somewhere. Considering he was busy rashing-it-up while we were at the lab getting the blood drawn, I’d say we’re safe to ignore those results. Also, found out that even though he is the spitting image of Justin, that child has the exact same blood type as me. Phew! Glad I passed something good onto him (since the hands I gave both my children will be the bane of their piano-playing existence).

This is a blog where I will share my adventures and mundane tasks as a work-out-of-home-mom. I now have 2 kids and my wonderful husband, so the juggling has gotten a little bit more tricky (man-on-man defense). We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats (we used to have 4) so as you can imagine, our household is pretty busy. Since I never feel like I'm being listened to, I figured I'll just start talking at the general Internet community and see what happens.

Man, I wish I could go to that! But in an effort to cut back on spending and prior family obligations, I will have to be drinking my wine here in MD. But how will I live without my own souvenir wine glass???

Darn single parenting . . . that sounds like SO much fun! I love it – “Mother’s Day Eve” . . . it’s the new Christmas Eve without the stress and baking of cookies!

Hmmmm, I rather like the idea of a pre Mother’s Day just for me. Because even though Mother’s Day is all about mom, we know mom is the last one that gets me-time.

I meant to say in the other comment, too, that Bubba went through a stuttering phase. It really freaked my husband out, but he seems to have grown out of it. Sometimes I think we drew too much attention to it and once we ignored it, it got better.

That’s the coolest invite I’ve ever seen.
Glad you’re over your rotten day, and that we could send some love your way when you needed it 🙂
Hope everything for Coop comes out squeaky clean when he’s done with his god awful rash!!

Thanks for reminding me that I have a bottle of wine in the fridge with my name on it. 🙂

did anyone notice the “Mom’s everywhere”? Misuse of apostrophes make me nuts…
As well as a thousand other things.
Caramama and LSHM…I wish I could go, too…Justin’s going to be in Alaska for 8 days and I am too cheap to get a sitter and then still spend $50 more to drink by myself.
BBM…this is the only reason I continue to live in VA: lots of wineries! thought not with Flea’s name on it. 🙂
LaskiGal…glad you got the pendant safe-and-sound…turned out better than it looked in the picture, huh?
